This website takes hotel room reservation enquiries only. By completing the online reservation form you understand that this does not constitute a confirmed booking.

On receipt of your online enquiry we will confirm the acceptances of your reservation request or offer you an alternative choice of dates and rooms depending on availalbility.

If you do not hear from us or we are unable to contact you understand that a confirmed booking has not been accepted by Langdon Court Hotel

Langdon Court Hotel requires your credit card information to confirm a booking. Your card will not be charged until your departure.

Our hotel will deduct a fee equivalent to your first night's stay if you fail to give sufficient warning when canceling a reservation. The hotel operates a 48 hours cancellation policy.

Your booking is with the Langdon Court Hotel. We are excluded from liability in the event of any loss or damage resulting from your booking or stay. We strongly advise that you take out good travel insurance prior to this or any other vacation/trip. If your chosen selection is unavailable we will recommend the nearest alternative. These terms and conditions shall be construed and applied under English Law.

Langdon Court Hotel Currency Terms and Conditions

Room rates are guaranteed only in the hotel or guesthouse local currency which is pounds sterling. You are advised to check the currency conversion rates if you are making bookings from outside the UK. Remember currency rates are constantly changing and your card will be debited on departure by the hotel.

Langdon Court Hotel reservations feature of this Web site is provided solely to assist customers in determining the availability of accommodation travel-related goods and services and to make legitimate reservation enquiries and for no other purposes.

You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement and to use this Web site in accordance with all terms and conditions herein. You agree to be financially responsible for all of your use of this Web site (as well as for use of your account by others, including without limitation minors living with you).

You also warrant that all information supplied by you or members of your household in using this Web site is true and accurate and without limitation, or any false or fraudulent reservation. You agree that the reservations facilities of this Web site shall be used only to make legitimate reservation enquiries for you or for another person for whom you are legally authorised to act. You understand that overuse or abuse of this Web site may result in your being denied access to such facilities.

Langdon Court Hotel Liability

In no event shall Langdon Court Hotel, and or or its subsidiaries or affiliates be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever, including loss of profits or data, whether in an action in contract or tort, arising out of the use or performance of the site, even if Langdon Court Hotel has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Langdon Court Hotel Acceptance


This Web site is offered to you, the customer, conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of this Web site constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices.

Wedding Bookings

At the time of booking a non refundable £1000 deposit will be required to confirm the booking.  (Under exceptional circumstances the management may refund half the deposit amount)
Provisional bookings will only be held for one week from the date of enquiry and will be cancelled if no deposit is received within this time.

1) Amendments and Cancellations

5 months prior to the first date of arrival - Deposit & 20% charge
4 months prior to the first date of arrival - Deposit & 30% charge
3 months prior to the first date of arrival - Deposit & 40% charge
Up to 2 months prior to the first date of arrival - Deposit & 50% charge
Up to 1 month prior to the first date of arrival - Deposit & 60% charge
Thereafter - Deposit & 100% charge
The percentage calculations will be based upon the agreed number of guests booked plus any other pre-booked meals, drinks and accommodation.

2) Hotel Proprietors Act 1956

Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, a hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest´s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel.
This liability however-
A) Extends only to the property of guest´s who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel.
B) Is limited to £50.00 for any one article and a total of £100.00 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit for safe custody.
C) Does not cover motor cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them or horses or any other live animals.
THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN ADMISSION EITHER THAT THE ACT APPLIES TO THIS HOTEL OR THAT LIABILITY THEREUNDER ATTACHES TO THE PROPRIETOR OF THIS HOTEL IN ANY PARTICULAR CASE.

3) Hotel´s Liability

The Company reserves the right to cancel any bookings forthwith and without any liability on its part in the event of any damage or destruction of the hotel by fire or other cause, or any other cause beyond the control of the company which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any other booking.

4) Customer´s Liability

The Customer shall be responsible for the orderly and safe conduct of the function and shall have regard to any regulations imposed by the competent authority, and shall ensure that nothing shall be done which will constitute a breach of the law or in any way cause a nuisance or be an infringement, of or occasion or render possible the forfeiture of the Licences for the sale of wine, beer, spirits, or for music and dancing or other permission attaching to the hired premises. In particular the Customer shall fully indemnify the company against any claims, or loss or damage arising as a result of breach of the clause.

5) EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE HOTEL

This means that Langdon Court will be open Exclusively to guests attending your Wedding/Reception.
This prevents any other persons from using the facilities of Langdon Court during your function.
The current cost for Exclusive Use is levied on a sliding scale as:
Wedding parties guaranteeing at least 75 guests for the sit down function and at least 100 guests for the evening reception -" NO CHARGE.
Wedding parties guaranteeing between 60 and 75 guests for the sit down function and at least 85 guests for the evening function - £500.00
Wedding parties guaranteeing between 50 and 60 guests for the sit down function and at least 70 guests for the evening reception - £1000.00
Wedding parties with less than 50 guests for the sit down function - £2000.00.

From September 2008 All wedding booking will incur a £1,000 exclusive use fee.

MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE A CHARGE IF NUMBERS DROP BY MORE THAN 5% OF THE INDICATED NUMBERS ON YOUR BOOKING FORM.

All Exclusive Use weddings must guarantee occupancy of ALL hotel bedrooms.  Please note: By booking an Exclusive Use Wedding you are guaranteeing that guests attending your wedding reception will fill ALL of our bedrooms.  If any of the bedrooms remain empty (including if any guests booked in do not arrive) you will be liable for the full room rate.
Wedding parties not taking Exclusive Use (i.e. not filling all hotel bedrooms) will be charged room hire on a pre-discussed basis.

Regrettably wedding parties who do not require all hotel rooms, will not be allowed to conduct late finishing musical/dancing event.
