Winter is the perfect season for a real fairytale wedding. With colder days and darker nights creating an intimate atmosphere the warmth of roaring log fires and twinkling candles will entice your guests at Langdon Court.

Even though you can’t guarantee snow on your big day, you can create a wonderful snowy feel by using lots of sparkly decorations like glittering snowflakes, silver or gold branches, snow globes or an ice sculpture to wow your guests

Winter is the time of year when you can really go to town on your wedding attire by incorporating dramatic capes, cloaks, cowls, gloves and muffs in rich fabrics like satin, velvet or faux fur. An icy diamond or shimmering pearl tiara will add drama and glamour to a wintry theme and opulent gold, silver, ruby red, holly green, royal blue or classic black and white create a stunning seasonal look.

Choosing the winter to tie the knot can be one of the biggest decision you make for your winter wedding planning. There is a growing trend of brides choosing autumn or winter weddings instead of summer weddings. Winter weddings can be very beautiful and intimate, and certainly will stand out from the many summer weddings that are held each year.

When thinking about whether or not to have a winter wedding, here are some of the many advantages to consider:

You can save a lot of money. By holding it in the winter you can save up to half the cost of a traditional summer wedding and get more for your money since winter is considered as “off wedding season”.

More of your loved ones may be able to attend. By holding your wedding in the winter it’s more likely that family and friends will have fewer social commitments and thus will be free to attend your wedding.

Winter weddings are different. Do you want your wedding to stand out and be memorable, a winter wedding can be a great way to do something new and different for your wedding.

The perfect end to a winter wedding is jetting off for a sun soaked honeymoon!!!

Brasserie Welcome – Langdon Court Hotel

Posted in: News

 Brasserie Menu Langdon Court Hotel

Welcome to Langdon Court Restaurant and Brassiere, where food is our passion…

My dedicated team and I endeavour to use only the best of local growers and suppliers. Free range eggs collected from local farms, “Rex Down” supplies the best day boat caught fish landed at Plymouth and Looe markets. For our meat we work closely with “Warrens” of Launceston. Their native breeds are fast becoming the favourite choice of “Michelin” stared restaurants as far afield as London’s West End.

Fresh produce grown and harvested by our gardener “Graham Tichmarsh” [Alan’s cousin] compliments what comes from local growers “Nearly Naked Veg” while “Hawkridge Farm” supply the finest British and Continental cheeses.

Menus and dishes reflect the seasons and are inspired by thirty years’ experience of working and travelling across the Mediterranean and South East Asia.

Homemade Artisan Breads, Terrines, Cured Gravadlax and Dessert are all made in house, to ensure that both quality and consistency are maintained to the highest levels. Thus ensuring your dining experience is both enjoyable and memorable.
